Sharon Smith, Editor-in-chief of SGN SCOOPS, and wife of publisher Allen Smith has been diagnosed with uterine cancer. This cancer is in the late stages, and cannot be operated on. Sharon is currently in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. In addition to the cancer, she almost lost her life to kidney failure this last week. This is because of the tumor lying on her kidneys and causing them not to function. She has had drains placed in each of her kidneys so they can be drained. The kidneys are still not functioning properly, and because of that she is now also on kidney dialysis. It is hoped that the dialysis will help her kidneys start to function properly, to make treatment efforts better.

"Doctors have given my wife one year to live, with treatment", said Allen Smith, Publisher of SGN Scoops, "But, we are trusting our God for a miracle. We need everyone's prayers, first for her kidneys, so they will start filtering out the impurities as they are supposed to; then that God will provide the miracle needed to make her completely whole."
