SGM Radio - May 7, 2007 08:55 PM (GMT)
Who is the best player in baseball right now?

VirginiaJoe - May 8, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
I have one of the candidates on my baseball team.....

Jose Reyes- Mets

Donna - May 8, 2007 03:39 AM (GMT)
My boy who Lorraine has this year...A Rod B)

I kinda hope it will be Roger Clemens soon....lol

CanChik - May 8, 2007 11:35 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah, I vote for A Rod too.

Doc Halladay is also one of my favourites. Maybe because he's the only one who is playing right now with Jays while the rest of them take a break, lol.

Well, I think Roger Clemens is 1 player u can throw in there for sure. but also have to throw A.Rod in the hunt & weather u like him or not B.Bonds has got to be put in there. now myself for these 3 i would have to go with Clemens just cause he is old school i& i like guys like him.....just my opinion...Tim :Bobo:

VirginiaJoe - May 8, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
I'd throw Vladimir Guerrero in the mix, too.

But, some stats on my man Reyes.....

.351 average (5th in NL)
30 runs ( 2nd in NL)
46 hits (3rd in majors)
5 triples (1st in majors)
19 stolen bases (1st in majors)

I have to go with Alfonso Soriano...he has certainly helped the Chicago Cubs!!!

I hate you said that, too. :rollinglaughing: Everyone.....everywhere.......has issues with Mr Bonds.

I know this isn't the answer to the question, but Miss C and I had a great time Tuesday night. We saw the Braves and Padres at Turner Field. We had wonderful seats in the Lexus level, great food, and our motel was a block away from the ball park.

Only sad thing was that we didn't get to stay for the game last night. :( Greg Maddux and John Smoltz were pitching. It's not often you get to see two future locks for the Hall of Fame in a head to head pitching duel.

VirginiaJoe - May 10, 2007 04:03 PM (GMT)
That would have been a great game to see, John. I see that Smoltz came out on top, but that had to be a classic game......wish you could have seen it.

JohnCBoy - May 10, 2007 04:17 PM (GMT)
I snuck out early from choir practice and watched it on TV!

I liked the good old days with the Mariners. We would get to the games early and watch them practice. Back when A Rod and Jr and his dad were there and the big unit.

Well, so far we have..........

Jose Reyes- Mets
Alex Rodriquez- Yankees
Doc Halladay- Blue Jays
Roger Clemens- Yankees
Barry Bonds- Giants
Vladimir Guerrero- Angels

and I am adding....

Albert Pujois- Cardinals

Pretty good list..........anyone else to add?
