Isaiah 41:10- "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
God never said that the Christian life would be easy. In fact, He told us up front that there would be trials and tribulations. Bad things will happen in our lives. Things won't always seem fair. Because of this, God in His infinite wisdom gave us many words of encouragement in His Word.
First of all, God tells us that He is with us. He hasn't left us to face our trials alone. Secondly, He says that He is our God. Do you know what that means? It means that He is in charge and in control of everything we face in our lives. Through Him, victory is always possible. Thirdly, He promises to strengthen and help us. He has what we need when we need it- all we have to do is go to Him in faith and ask!
Do you feel overwhelmed by something today? Are you fighting the battle of discouragement? Are you up against something you don't know how to deal with? If so, then turn it all over to the Savior. He is a faithful and loving God who can handle anything we give Him in faith. He loved us enough to give us all of these encouraging promises. Hold on to them as anchors in life's storms.
thanks Pastor Chad for the Encouragement and thanks for you hard work... I was also thinking about last week's devotion and I would love to share something here if that is ok. I was part of a Saturday Night Worship Service...it was awesome, spirit uplifting, GOD was all over that place and when invitatation time came... the Providentials changed songs 3 times as the spirit of GOD MOVED and lives were changed. IT was an awesome night. I thank God He allowed me to be part of it.
