What can you tell me about them? Their name came up today and I thought maybe I had heard something about them here. John, Dean, Gayla, Ben, someone? :)

I've seen and heard their advertisements around here a good bit. I'll see if I can get some info...Bekah will probably know them.

I talked with a dealer who is going to sell one of theirs and said it should do well. He said it was on Summit.

That's an awfully large area you're talking about.....

The Singing Texans are a family group consisting of husband, wife and son from the Tyler area....that's East Texas......lol

I think they are called The Texans. They were a quartet for many years, going back to the early 70's when they were called The Masters Four. They worked out of Dallas but in the early 80's moved to Branson, MO and got involved in the shows there. Came back to Texas in the early or mid 90's. Sammy Ray has been the leader for most of their years. Current group is Sammy, wife, Brenda, and their son. They are working in NW Arkansas now at the Passion Play and in family theaters in that area. I sang with them back when they were a good group!!

I suppose it's the same group. I asked Bekah about them, she knows them, they've done some concerts together. She said it was a husband, wife and son.

If anyone is interested in the LP (I think) it should probably be on eBay now. The dealer who told me about seemed to think it would do well (I presume from a previous auction of stuff from them I guess.)
