I Corinthians 10:31- "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
Sometimes it's good for us to go back and remind ourselves of some of the basic tenets of Christianity that we sometimes forget. This is what I wanted to do here today.
Why do we do what we do? I'll tell you waht the answer to that question should be. Simply put, we should do what we do to glorify God. Yet, I would dare to say that many of us often fail to even consider God when we do what we do. He doesn't even enter into our minds. We just do what we do out of habit. Why is He not consciously on our minds more often? I see this as a tragic state of affairs in Christianity today.
We are His people, and we are called to glorify and honor Him. However, this can't fully be done unless He is on our mind and an integral part of our thought processes. If we would more often check to see if what we do is pleasing to the Lord, then I think that it would revolutionize the way we live our lives. Think about it.
