Title: Dancing with the Stars

Kattie E - October 3, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
Ok, I missed the first week of the show but did watch Monday night. I must admit my favorite time of the night is when the lady judge called Marie Osmond "one hot cougar".

Who are your favorites? :dancingdog:

quartetlover - October 3, 2007 12:32 PM (GMT)
I love this show!! Marie Osmond was one hot cougar this week! :D It was nice to see Donny and Jimmy in the audience cheering her on.

I also like Sabrina (from the Cheetah Girls?).... I've never heard of her before.

I like Mel B..... but I think it's because I really like her partner, Maks.

Helio is really good..... and the billionaire Mark is really sweet (looks good since he shaved :) )

Poor Wayne has got to go........ I was disappointed that Albert went home instead of him last night. Albert was SO good last week. :(

Of course, I could say something about all of them.... Jane is so elegant... Jenny is good, and I felt so bad for her when they fell down....... Floyd is good but too stiff or something (too far away from his partner?) I don't know.

Dancing With The Stars rocks! :dancingdog: :pooh:

Denise - October 3, 2007 03:44 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry....I tried....but, I didn't care for the show..... :noway:

You just didn't pay enough attention. You obviously didn't see Maks. LOL You really need to give it more than one chance. Or, maybe I'm just highly impressed with people who can dance. I used to watch Soul Train all the time! LOL

LOL I heard ya all the way over here in IL, Kattie! Don Cornelius rocked! It's just not the same since he left. :dancingdog:

quartetlover - October 10, 2007 05:24 PM (GMT)
Anybody still watching Dancing? I always miss it on Mondays because I have Bible study, but I watch it as soon as I get home from work on Tuesdays. The girls rocked this week! Sabrina is a little firecracker!

Poor Wayne..... I always feel sorry for the ones who go home, but it was definitely his time to go.

JohnCBoy - October 10, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
Bless Shari . . . suffering for Jesus. . .

Ever heard of a VCR?

:babyha:

Kattie E - October 10, 2007 07:51 PM (GMT)
Well if the faux ponytail and mustache got him to go home this week, he should have done it sooner. :kekeke:

I like Sabrina, I think she should win this unless the audience vote gets skewed by someone else's popularity. She dances her legs off. I am glad to see Marie Osmond is still in there dancing too.

LOL I do tape it on Monday nights. I tape it and the Bachelor (not sure if I should confess that one).... but since the Bachelor isn't over until 10:00, I'm too worn out to stay up and watch it. I watch it after work on Tuesdays.

I certainly hope that Miss Carol has gotten you to watch it with her. It's a good one this year. :dancingdog:

That was so funny looking. :rollinglaughing:

Kattie E - October 16, 2007 03:07 AM (GMT)
What is the deal with the boxer complaining about his scores? He has gotten what he deserved.

Is it me or does there seem to be more good dancers this year than in the past?

Sabrina came thru again with a perfect score this week. I love to watch her snap her moves. I really enjoy watching them.

:dancingdog:

pattipagewhite - October 16, 2007 12:24 PM (GMT)
I love, love, love watching them waltz...any kind of waltz....the Viennese Waltz was beautiful last night...I particularly liked Marie and Jonathan dance to "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You"...

I missed Sabrina last night...I was watching something else...and forgot...I really like Jennie and Derek...she's so sweet.

quartetlover - October 16, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
I missed Bible study because I was sick.... just in case anyone is wondering why I was able to watching Dancing last night. :) They DO seem to have better dancers this year. Now that Wayne is gone, I'm having a hard time figuring out who should go next. The billionaire may not be the best dancer, but he is such fun to watch, and I hope he doesn't leave tonight.

I don't get why Floyd the boxer is complaining either. I just don't like him. He's too stiff or something..... and a bit too proud of himself. He's my choice to go home.

Sabrina still rocks! And Marie gets better each week too. Mel is another favorite of mine..... I can't figure out if it has anything to do with Maks being her partner. I'll have to try to pay more attention next week.

Kattie E - October 17, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
well, I guess the boxer doesn't have to worry about his scores anymore :whistling:

Amen to that! It just didn't seem right that Melanie and Maks were in the bottom two. Scared me!

pattipagewhite - October 23, 2007 01:21 AM (GMT)
That was so weird when Marie hit the floor...I thought she was just acting silly....

Kattie E - October 24, 2007 05:07 AM (GMT)
I did too Patti, so strange. Looks like they booted the next deserving couple off. Now it is getting more difficult to imagine who will be next.

ThunderingHerd - October 31, 2007 02:15 AM (GMT)
OK...What in the world is going on with Dancing with the Stars tonight? I can't belive that Sabrina is gone!! She was the best....I was surprised that she and Cameron were the bottom two. I thought it would be Jane and Marie in the bottom two and Marie going home. Im in shock! :o

:o :o :o
What?! The Cheetah girl is gone? I can't believe that. She was the best on the show. I agree Steve, I thought Marie or Jane and probably Marie would be the next to go. How disappointing.

Kattie E - November 6, 2007 07:07 PM (GMT)
I can't imagine that the Spice Girl would be voted off tonite. Her Paso Doble was great last night and the attire for that dance :o

I would have to think that Marie Osmond would be the next voted off based on her performance, but if everyone in her family is voting for her...well, that's a different story

I miss the cheetah girl but without her I suppose there is more competition.

Kattie E - November 7, 2007 03:06 AM (GMT)
Well, no surprise tonite that Jane was booted. I have not watched the tuesday nite show this season but the Dance Center was hilarious tonite. Do they do this every tues. nite?

pattipagewhite - November 7, 2007 01:24 PM (GMT)
I hate to see Jane go, but I was afraid she would be next. I really wish Marie had been the next....Jane is so elegant and ladylike.....

I still like Jennie best of all, but that Spice girl is really good...the outfit was something else wasn't it? :o

quartetlover - November 7, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
I taped it and watched it last night. Melanie rocks out loud! Oh, my! I think she outdanced her partner, Maks. I must say that I loved the outfit. LOL And I was so glad that they got the encore dance last night.

I really thought that Sabrina would make it to the end. It breaks my heart that she is gone.

They don't do the Dance Center bit every week....... I think I've seen that guy just once before a few weeks ago. He really is hilarious. When he talked about Jenny and what she does with her mouth, I just about spit my diet coke out of my nose! That is so funny, because I kept thinking that she looks like a snooty old woman when she does that. I'm so glad that someone else noticed it. I do like Jenny too.... she's really improved...... what she does with her mouth is just funny.

Kattie E - November 13, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
Looked like to me the best 2 dances of the night were the last 2 by the race car driver and the spice girl.

I would think that either Marie or the soap opera guy will get the boot tonite but whoever really knows for sure?

What do you think? :dancingdog:

quartetlover - November 13, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
I really wish it wasn't on Monday nights. I'll watch it after work. I'm glad to hear that you liked the Spice Girl. She's my fav.

quartetlover - November 14, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
You picked correctly, Kattie. And I agree, it was time for Cameron to go. I thought it was a good show Monday night. It was so sweet to see Richard Simmons come and visit Jenny..... and how she was crying because she loves him. I enjoyed seeing Jonathan's wife.... and how Marie asked permission from her to dance closely with him. Marie is just a doll.

It looked to me like Helio dropped Julianne hard on Monday night...... it wasn't quite such a hard drop on the Tuesday night encore. He probably dropped her hard because he was afraid of getting in trouble after stealing that kiss from her (she was shaking her head "NO" big time at the end of the encore).

I hope that Melanie and Helio make the finals...... and it's hard for me to pick the other one. I've loved Marie all my life...... so I'm leaning toward her. Although the final three should have included Sabrina. :dancingdog:

Crickett - November 17, 2007 01:49 AM (GMT)
Sorry to be contrary, but I think Cameron should have been in the final 3... Jennie Garth and her partner should have gone... It really broke my heart to see him get voted off. He brought fun and flair to the show. Oh well 5 years from now we probaly won't even remember who won... I won't remember it next season..lol But I did like him and I will miss him... I thought Marie would go long before him.. Can't believe the fans didn't vote more.. Oh well!!! Maybe Jennie will GO next week.. We can hope huh? LOL

No need to apologize... LOL If you love Cameron, you love Cameron. He was kinda fun.... and somewhat humorous off the dance floor. :D I don't watch his soap, but he makes me think that there is hope to have Bo Brady (or anyone else) from DAYS on there sometime.

pattipagewhite - November 20, 2007 04:07 AM (GMT)
Helio really rocked tonight.....I still like Jennie better than any of the other women....just a personal preference I suppose, although Marie does bring an excitement to the show...

Kattie E - November 20, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
I was disappointed when the cheetah girl left but there has been some great dancing since that time. I have not watched this show every year since it has been on but this seems to be the best year with so many that could possibly win.

I am still going with the spice girl. I love it when Len gets fussy with Bruno, so funny. I would think this would be the week for Marie to dance off the show, but who knows. This has just been very entertaining.

go ahead...dance doggie :dancingdog:

Kattie E - November 21, 2007 04:08 AM (GMT)
Well, not too much of a surprise with the results tonite. By the way, what about the spice girls' 4 splits last nite? Wow! :o

And how fun to see the cheetah girl dance again tonite.

dance doggie dance... :dancingdog:

pattipagewhite - November 21, 2007 01:25 PM (GMT)
I hated to see Jennie go, but I figured it would be her....I think Marie's enormous popularity is keeping her on. I didn't care for Helio at first, but he kind of grows on you. It's going to be tough next week...but awesome I can imagine.

quartetlover - November 21, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
Wow, what a week! The dances were phenomenal Monday night! Mel's four splits blew me away. Everyone else did so well too. I'm sure that Marie's popularity (plus her 100+ family members) is what is keeping her in. She's just so adorable... but I don't think she should be the winner at all.

I really enjoyed the Cheetah girl too..... that dance showed why she should be in the final three.

My favorite part of last night was definitely Michael Flatley and his Irish dancing/Lord of the Dance dance routine. That completely amazes me. I would love to see that in concert! :dancingdog:

pattipagewhite - November 22, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
Oh....I had forgotten about Michael Flatley...that was so totally awesome....I'm with you Shari.....I would love to see that in person....and more of it.

Kattie E - November 28, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
Again, I am disappointed with the outcome of the voting on this show. Clearly, the spice girl was the technically better dancer. My favorite dance was of the season was the spice girl and her partner dancing to Queen's "Somebody to Love".

They need to change the judge's voting system on this show. There is no need for the numbers 1-5. They are not used. They need to go with the Olympic style with the fractions. I think a 9.75 or 9.9 should have been used over some of the 10's. Just my thoughts. :)

It certainly was very entertaining to watch this year. :dancingdog:

quartetlover - November 28, 2007 06:11 PM (GMT)
I'm disappointed with the outcome too. I wasn't blown away by Melanie Monday night.... I really thought that their freesytle dance would be MUCH better than it was. But overall, she was a much better dancer than Helio. Helio's freestyle was really good.... BUT when I watched it, I couldn't take my eyes off of his partner, Julianne. She is SO good. So, I had to rewind it and watch him..... and he just wasn't very good at all. He really lucked out by getting Julianne as a partner this year. If she wasn't his partner, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. :(

But, other than that.... it was a really good show last night. It was good to see all of the dancers again. And I got to see the billionaire dance to "King of the Road" again. :woohoo:

pattipagewhite - February 19, 2008 07:53 PM (GMT)
I can't wait to see how Marlee Matlan does....she's inspiring....and some of those guys are so big and tall...one wears a size 11 shoe.... :o that's some big feet to be moving around fast on the dance floor....

ThunderingHerd - February 19, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)
There are a few of the younger ones I have not ever heard of. Is that a sign of old age?
