Yesterday, I posted a picture from one of my favorite Speer Family albums. Today, I'm posting a picture from one of their rarest releases.

What is the actual name of this album?

This is the 1985 double album of the Speer Family entitled "THE SPEER FAMILY" on the front and "MOM & DAD SPEER" on the back. The recording was made by GREAT COMMISSION MUSIC (GCM) of Nashville, Tennessee. Sides A & B are by the Speer Family and C & D are by Mom and Dad Speer.

That album certainly must be rare. I've never seen it before. It looks like it would be a great one to have in one's record collection.

That information is exactly right, vinylman.

Now, what's the title? The exact title is printed somewhere on the album cover.

Mike, you're also correct. It's a very rare bird. I may have been only sold on a TV offer. I can't remember. I do know I bought it new and I don't think I bought it from the Speers record table.

Here's a picture of the back cover:

"See Mammoth Cave", you must have photoshopped it out Mr. CBoy, it was over there on a roof.

:P ok, I will be back for wacky wednesday

I don't think he photoshopped anything out. If I remember right this is how this record looks. I thought the title was simply, "The Speer Family". My mom has this record buried somewhere in her collection.

I once owned a cassette tape that had all of the songs from sides three and four on it in the same order that vinylman posted.
