He played steel for Bob Wills and the Inspirationals in 1974. There was an annual Inspirationals reunion last week here in Ft Worth. Norvell's name was mentioned several times. Attending the program: Roger McDuff, John Hall, Jorey Walden, Dale Ray Shipley, Ralph Green, Billy Hamm, Ray Burdett, Curtis Elkins, Gary Jackson, Jim Wesson, Bob Wills, and others. Larry Gatlin, Gary McSpadden, Jim Murray, David Engles, Buddy Campbell and many more were members at one time. These guys can still do it!

Curtis Elkins is one of my all time favorite tenors...I talked with Bob at SGMA day at Dollywood and he said Curtis could still get the job done...The Inspirationals are kinda like the Singing Amerians...A lot of great singers came thru their group..but never knew Reba's husband was part of it...

Ron died appro.7 rears ago. His son is still with Emmonds .
