It appears that Rick Fair has been making the news as of late. He has sung with several groups. What part did Rick sing with these various groups?

Statesmen
Palmetto State Quartet
Senators
Rebels

Reminds me of a story from high school. . .

One of our classmates had a rather unusual name. I won't post it here, but it wasn't a normal name . . .

We presented her with a lifesized "L" just so folks wouldn't get her name confustipated.

Rick also song some bass w/ Rebels - he sang bass with Gospel Sound (Ray Shelton's group that became Senators). He also sang bass with the Commanders Qt.

Yeah but I bet he can't lay a figure-4 leg-lock on somebody. :whistling:

. . . and if I'm not mistaken, he sang both baritone and bass with the Senators. He sang baritone when London Parris was with the group and he sang bass the rest of the time.

I saw the Blackwood Quartet at the Blackwood Brothers Homecoming in 1982 and their lineup was Bob Oliver-Tenor, Rick Fair-Lead, Ron Blackwood-Baritone, and London Parris-Bass.

Just bleach his hair and add an L to his name...... but I doubt that Rick Flair can sing like Rick Fair.

RichL - December 19, 2007 01:30 AM (GMT)
He would sure have to sing another part beside bass if London was in the quartet would't he?

He sang bass on the 1974 Senators album "Where Could IGo . . ." when Bill Shaw was the tenor, Marvin Logan the lead and Ray Shelton the baritone.
