Columbus, OH - Throughout the past decade, the Gaither Homecoming Tour has been recognized as one of the longest running, most successful musical events, with attendance figures consistently exceeding 200,000 annually, and even boasting figures of a half million in 2004. During this time span, Bill and Gloria Gaither, as well as many of the Gaither Homecoming artists, have received numerous awards and accolades in recognition of this success, as the Tour has enjoyed sold out concert events in cities throughout the nation, as well as Europe and South Africa.
Most recently, the Gaithers were honored by venue officials at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH. The Homecoming Tour concluded the 2007 season with a stop at Nationwide Arena, where over 8,000 fans endured snow and sleet to be a part of the Homecoming Christmas event on Saturday, December 15. At the conclusion of the performance, Bill and Gloria Gaither were presented a beautifully framed plaque in recognition of surpassing 75,000 tickets sold during six performances at the Arena in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
