Ephesians 2:19-20
19. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone;
Yes, when Jesus was born in Bethlehem so long ago, God's plan of salvation for all mankind was set into motion. While we should never lose sight of this or take it for granted, we should also realize that there was something more given to us as well. We were given a sure foundation upon which we can build our lives. As long as we build on this foundation, we will have a strong and sure relationship with our Savior that will translate into the strength we need to live for Christ. We will always have an anchor in the storms of life that will keep us from being shipwrecked. As long as He is the "cornerstone"- the centerpiece- of our lives, we have nothing to fear.
I hope that the devotionals this month have given you a greater appreciation of how great a gift the Lord has truly given us. I pray that we will never take it for granted and that we will always make it the focal point of our lives.
What an amazing comfort to know that when everything seems to be going wrong, Jesus is there for us.
Merry Christmas to you and Jenny.
Amen Bro Chad....I'm a living testimony to this wonderful devotional....how many, many times HE's been my anchor, my CORNERSTONE, my ALL in ALL.....what would we ever do without HIM?
