Sorry to have been gone for a few days. After taking a trip to the beach, I came home to find that I had no internet service. Merry Christmas to me, huh?

Anyway, here's a two part question for ya. . .

What is the name of the group pictured below and what was their name prior to Jake Hess becoming associated with them?

(Actually, they may have changed their name prior to the Hess connection. I'm not sure exactly when that happened.)

Jake Hess and The Music City Singers ?

Not sure 'bout name before Jake came...

Could it have still been The Music City Singers...

Or possibly The Ed Woody Peggy Trio.. :D

The Music City singers was their name when Jake Hess was with them, before the Jake Hess connection they were a trio of Woody and Peggy Beaty and Ed Enoch called "Inspirations."

Is it the Music City Inspirations????

JohnCBoy - December 27, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)

A little off the subject but I was wondering if you know anything about a trio that recorded on Heartwarming called The Inspirationals. I picked up an album by them and thought if it was on HW label they must be pretty good and I would put it on ebay. when I got home I notice a bad scratch on one side that I had not noticed earlier but the singing is pretty good. The folks names are Jack and Mary Fowler and Carolyn Stewart. I don't remember these folks but the backliner says that they sang with a lot of the big groups of the 60's
John do you know much about this trio?

JohnCBoy - December 27, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
Not a thing. Sorry.

It's probably Jack & Mary Fowler from the Crusaders Quartet that went on to be The Fowlers.
