At the beginning of each new year, many people make resolutions. Some resolve to lose weight, some resolve to live a better life....others resolve to start each year with a clean slate.
Whatever your resolution - or even if you haven't made one at all, make 2008 the year of new beginnings in your life. Are there friendships you have neglected? Family you have been too busy to keep in touch with? Are there habits that need to be broken, a lifestyle issue you need to address? We all want to live well, laugh often, and love much. Don't we? Yet, we go about our life, living at least three days at a time. We never take the time to just sit and appreciate the beauty that GOD has created for us to enjoy. We let things slide that need to be taken care of right now and we do today the things that are of the least importance.
This year, take the time to spend more quiet quality time with GOD and appreciate all the many blessings HE has given you. Remember where HE brought you from and where HE has placed you right now. Stop to consider HIS will and search your heart and soul to see if you are truly following hard after HIM.
Take the time to rekindle friendships and get to know your family again. Turn off the television, turn off the computer, turn off the phone. Break out the board games and the dominoes and spend quality time with those you love. Life goes by so fast, and we never know when we will live our last day here. Take the time to enjoy life...but most of all, take the time to thank GOD for your blessings and show those you love how much you care.
Start a new tradition this year ~ resolve to shed the old, wet blanket of your former self and live each day just being yourself ~ reinvented by the hand of grace.
