Title: Bill Shaw interview
tarzan52s - January 5, 2008 09:24 PM (GMT)
I would like to know if there are any interviews, articles or books concerning Bill
Shaw or Mosie Lister or even Gary McSpadden concerning there experiences
with their respective groups. I use these men because they apparently are some of
the few remaining members of these groups.
thanks :D

Haven't read much with Bill Shaw. He's quite interesting, although I don't know about his interview skills.
Mark Stephens knows Gary. Maybe he could help us there.
I have talked to Mosie many times. He's quite knowledgable and is a very kind gentleman.
Arthur Smith is another one that fits that bill. Most folks think of him as a country artist, but he also knows his "gospel stuff" quite well. Jim Hill is another gospel music pioneer.
Interviews with Gary, Jim and Mosie are documented in the Statesmen book, "Happy Rhythm".

Could be, Tarzan. At one time, the Gaither site had it but I don't know that they do anymore. It sold for over $150 on Ebay earlier in the month. I believe the writer is David L. Taylor.
