He and Eddie Wallace are probably my two favorite comedians

Of course Mr. Hefner comes in at a close 3rd..never thought a retired congressman could be so funny

You guys are correct!

Thanks to "Tha' Man", I came across an old LP that had some of Willie P Pott's humor on it. You'd never know it by the LP cover. Doesn't mention him at all.

Sure thing. It's Guest Star Records # G-1475, "Greatest Comedy Stars of the Grand Ole Opry". Hope you can find a copy.
