I know he left the Kingsmen and returned and I'll guess the other two are The Blue and Oak Ridge.

Rich, the Kingsmen is correct (thought some of you might have missed that one!), but the other two are incorrect.

If I'm not mistaken, Jim was with the other group I have in mind three times.

Since we are talking about Big Jim, Did you read the article in The Singing News about what bad financial shape that Jim and his wife were in at the time of his death. I guess there arn't a lot of Gospel singer who became wealthy but with the years that he put in with the Kingsmen I would have thought that he would have been better off than the article stated.
