Who is the bass singer on the Blackwood Brothers recording "Still Alive"?

According to a book I have it should be Eric Winston, but Cecil did a little bass himself.

Right or wrong, the CD shows the name of Paul Acree.

Jetrec - January 22, 2008 02:43 PM (GMT)
Paul Acree was the tenor and Cecil was the bass. I want to say that Chris Blackwood and Rick Price were on the other parts but I don't have the recording in front of me right now.

Why would Amazon want $49 for the CD? Maybe the CD is scarce.

I think Jetrec is right if memory serve me correct.

The cover says that the members are Mark Blackwood, Paul Acree, Cecil Blackwood, and Steve Warren(not the Steve Warren from the Masters V.)

JohnCBoy - January 23, 2008 01:21 AM (GMT)
Cecil Blackwood is the bass.

. . . and that is Steve Warren from the Masters V on the recording. Rick Price isn't on the recording.

The original CD may be rare enough to warrent a $50 price tag, but Mark Blackwood is selling a second pressing now for $15.

Sorry about that statement about Steve Warren. There seems to be several singers around with that name. It didn't look like the one from the Masters V was in the cover photo. I also failed to notice that Chris Blackwood is listed as part of the group. Thanks for putting out the question. I had no idea that Cecil sang bass.

JohnCBoy - January 23, 2008 04:20 AM (GMT)
Steve wasn't pictured on the cover.

Cecil wasn't a top bass singer, but he filled the role for a while.

JohnCBoy - January 23, 2008 06:23 AM (GMT)
The cover picture had Mark Blackwood, Cecil Blackwood, Chris Blackwood, and Paul Acree.

That's three generations of Blackwoods!
