The Kingsmen Quartet were always great for taking advantage of a situation. At one time, they had several members which could be described conservatively as rather "portly".

Who were the members of the Kingsmen Quartet when they became known as the "ton of fun"?

I'll agree with six of the seven names on Rich's list but substitute Charles Abee for Nick Bruno and add Leonard Hollifiield on lead guitar.

Norm, you're right. Abee was the pianist when they originally started using that moniker and Bruno joined a year or so later.
