My guess would be J.D.
Looks like it might have been their first bus..

Let's see if ya'll really know your stuff. Whose shoe is that pictured in the bus and where are they going?

James Moore - February 11, 2008 04:18 PM (GMT)
I say J.D. Sumner driving, and to answer Mineola probably Cecil Blackwoods shoe, (maybe Bundy Brewster`s), and thery`re going to El Paso, Tex.

Oh, come on David. Give us a difficult question!

It's E.O. Batson's foot and they are driving through Indianapolis on the way to Detroit.

. . . and Popsy, you're right. It's JD driving the first Blackwood Brothers bus.

James Moore - February 11, 2008 08:56 PM (GMT)
John, wasn`t this when J.D. was going to show Bundy Brewster how to drive the bus, without spilling a drop of water in a glass.

Oh wow! A brand new game, who's foot is this? I love it! :D

Not according to the article that accompanied the photograph. This was long before the days of Bundy,

I'm surprised they allowed a quartet bus on the Indianapolis Speedway.

James Moore - February 12, 2008 12:17 AM (GMT)
If I could just see the sole of his shoe then I might be able to see his face-LOL
I think I`ll guess Buddy Darvis then.

JohnCBoy - February 12, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
James, the foot still belongs to E.O. Batson, editor of Gospel Singing World.
