Title: Wacky Wednesday
Description: I'm probably asking for trouble here . .

JohnCBoy - February 13, 2008 12:56 PM (GMT)
OK, here's a picture for you to caption.

Here's where the trouble may come into play. . .

Does anyone know the story James Blackwood told that is associated with this picture?

Yes I know but I'm not sure I can tell it in an appropriate way.

It sure did break the crowd up at the roast held for JD.

superfan - February 13, 2008 02:28 PM (GMT)
You are asking for trouble! Jake couldn't believe he said it!

JohnCBoy - February 13, 2008 02:31 PM (GMT)
Then maybe we should just caption the picture . . .

:whistling:

J.D.---Tammy you would look good if it wasn't for the fact that I'm so good looking. And don't forget I sung with Elvis.

I ain't going with that other theme.

You might be, Mark!

JohnCBoy - February 13, 2008 07:02 PM (GMT)
Mark, I'd tell you the story, but your email account won't let me do it.

Email me privately, please.

pattipagewhite - February 13, 2008 08:01 PM (GMT)
Ok...Mark is not the only one who doesn't know....lol

JohnCBoy - February 13, 2008 08:20 PM (GMT)
OK for those of you that would like to hear James Blackwood's version of the story, send me a PM and give me an active email address that can accept an mp3 file. I've tried to send it to several of you and have gotten bounced messages.

I have a tribute video to JD and it has part of his roast on it. I was really shocked that dignified James Blackwood said what he did. I didn't think he had it in him. It sure was funny though. :babyha:

JohnCBoy - February 13, 2008 08:23 PM (GMT)
but he did say it in a dignified way, didn't he?

eerjd - February 13, 2008 09:27 PM (GMT)
JD was the man!!! Said just what came to mind....

superfan - February 13, 2008 10:04 PM (GMT)
J.D. didn't say it, James did.

Mark Stephens - February 13, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
Now that I am in the loop (thanks to JC), I hereby caption the pic as follows:

JD - I wish I was 30 years younger.

Tammy - These old guys, think they can say anything and get away with it.

KLB - February 14, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
JD: "Tammy, you know I'm the lowest, most handsome bass singer here. And I'm the tallest too. I'm way taller than James. I'm lower and taller than London and Chief was. I'm getting kinda old too, but there's more good news. I ain't as old as I thought I was. What do you think?"

Tammy: "Well, JD, I was aware that you were tall and handsome and low. I really wasn't sure about your age. I hadn't seen you in quite some time, but after seeing you earlier tonight I was struck with how young you looked. As we sat and chatted I could tell that you seemed to feel young too."

JD: "That's evermore the truth. Let's smile big for the picture."

Boy do I feel all in the dark all of a sudden!!

NO I DIDN`T!!!

adkinsdean - February 14, 2008 04:27 AM (GMT)
I'll have to admit that I used that story at a roast of a colleague (except changed the names to fit). Hey, if Milton Berle could do it with jokes, I figured I might as well "borrow" this one.

The JD Roast is my favorite all-time spiritual gospel video.

It is quite a blessing, isn't it Rev. News?
