Until all have heard, preach the Word.” Those lyrics, penned so eloquently by Jim Davis, recorded by popular quartet Gold City, serve as the premise for an evangelistic event that is changing lives nationwide.

The Preach the Word Tour, featuring Gold City and noted evangelist Jamey Ragle, is bringing to life the lyrics of the song featured on Gold City’s latest recording, Revival. Judging by the results of the inaugural Preach The Word event, “revival” is exactly what is occurring through the Preach The Word Tour. “It’s hard to define how awesome this event truly was,” stated long-time Gold City member, Daniel Riley, following the first official Preach The Word Tour engagement at Central Baptist Church in Dunn, NC, during which more than 70 individuals came forward to make important salvation decisions. “The fire of God still burns in our church,” stated Central Baptist Church Senior Pastor Tom Wagoner, several weeks after the conclusion of the Preach The Word event. “We had the privilege of hosting Jamey Ragle and Gold City for three days, and it was remarkable. I would highly recommend these genuine servants of the Lord Jesus to any church that desires real revival.”


The Preach The Word Tour came to life in January of 2007 during a bible study cruise featuring Gold City and Ragle. “During the week of the cruise,” Riley explains, “we spent quite a bit of time together, sharing the goals we have for our ministries. God began to work, and before we disembarked the ship on the final day, the Preach The Word Tour was born.”


According to Ragle, the event combines a night of encouraging music with a serious presentation of the Gospel. “I’ve been described as seriously funny in my presentation of the Gospel message. Ragle uses scriptural and personal illustrations with humor to communicate powerful Biblical principles.
