MARION, IL – Southern Gospel’s own, Matt Throgmorton, will be warming one of the five judge’s chairs at the 2008 Country Music Association Talent Search. The Talent Search takes place at the Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN. When asked about taking part in this event as a judge, Matt responded; “I would be very honored to be a part of such a prestigious event.”

“The Country Music Association Talent Search was formed in May of 1997 and will be celebrating eleven wonderful years,” stated Ms. Peggy Franck, the founder and CEO of the organization. “We are so thrilled to have Mr. Matt Throgmorton as a part of this years event.”

The 2007 Country Music Hall Of Fame Inductions were held on March 8, 2007 at the Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge. Inducted in that ceremony were: Marty Robbins, Little Jimmy Dickens, John Conlee, Jeanne Pruett, Margo Smith, Skeeter Davis, Helen Cornelius, Jim Ed Brown, Stonewall Jackson, Billy Walker, Young Harmony and Tommy Barnes. This year is shaping up to be another exciting one.

Matt Throgmorton recently released his first solo project titled “His Hand In Mine.” He also is a member of the Southern Gospel Trio, One Voice.
