BLADENBORO, N.C. – The Dove Brothers Quartet have been nominated for Favorite Male Quartet in the upcoming SGM FanFair Awards.

The SGM FanFair Awards are awarded by the readers of Christian Voice Magazine and fans of the SGM FanFair. The category of Favorite Soloist honors the most popular soloists in the Southern Gospel industry.

“Thank you so much to the SGM FanFair, Christian Voice Magazine, and the fans for giving us this nomination,” said McCray Dove of the Dove Brothers Quartet. “We had a fantastic year last year and look forward to another fantastic year this year. Thank you for your support!”

In addition to the Dove Brothers Quartet, the Favorite Male Quartet category includes Brian Free & Assurance, Gold City, the Dixie Melody Boys, and Relations Quartet.

Voting for the SGM FanFair is open to all fans of Southern Gospel music. Voting for the awards ends on February 29, 2008. To place your vote – visit http://www.sgmfanfair.com.

Winners will be announced at the 4th Annual SGM FanFair Awards during SGM FanFair at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee on April 3, 2008.

The Dove Brothers Quartet were nominated for Favorite Male Quartet in last year’s SGM FanFair Awards as well.

In addition, the Dove Brothers Quartet were recently in the studio completing their latest release for Sonlite Records. Titled Life, the new album promises to continue down the musical path that the group’s two previous critically-acclaimed albums (Anything But Ordinary…Everything But Typical and Never the Same) did – traditional male quartet harmonies with a more updated musical accompaniment.

Life is being produced by Danny Crawford (Never the Same) and executively produced by Chris White (Crossroads Music). All of the songs were arranged by Crawford and group owner McCray Dove. Life features some of the industry’s most sought-after studio musicians, including Tony Creasman, David Johnson, Jeremy Metcaff, and Danny Crawford. In addition, the new album will feature original material from group members McCray Dove and Jerry Kelso, along with Ray Scarbrough, Greg Lindsey, Matt Rankin, and more.

Life will be available in retail outlets this coming April 2008.
