Can you identify the boy sitting at the piano? He played for several gospel music groups in his career on the gospel music stage.
Who is he?

He was right on the "fringe" of greatness.

Eddie Crook is correct.
The variety of groups that he accomapnied was quite interesting. One of the early groups was the Tennesseans. Great group, although mostly unknown. Then he went with the Plainsmen. I know Ben and Mark didn't know he had a career after leaving the Plainsmen.
Then, Eddie took a trip into mixed-group-dom. Bless him.
Fortunately, he recovered from this mixed group affliction to form a very good, albeit short lived quartet called Vocal Edition.

We had The Tennesseans in Radford when Eddie and Noel Fox were with them. They were a good group.

Vocal Edition was a very good group. Jim Murray was the tenor, and they did several of the old Imperials tunes from the Roger Wiles days. I had a copy of the "Room At The Cross" cassette that I eventually wore out. I miss that tape!

Eddie also has a business on the side...makes records, I think.
BTW, the Tennesseans...the same quartet that Willie Wynn was with at one time?
JohnCBoy - March 11, 2008 04:03 PM (GMT)
Danny, that was a Tennesseans group that was long before the Willie Wynn group. I think they were in the limelight around 1962. Dale Shelnut and Noel Fox were their most heralded alumni. I'll try to do a trivia question about them in a few days.
