SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Popular Southern Gospel group Eighth Day has seen a strong response from radio and a string of hits from the group’s latest release, Headin’ Home.

All four of the singles released from that critically acclaimed project have broken the Top 40 on the Singing News Magazine’s Top 80 chart, the industry’s most recognized chart.

Those songs, such as “He Would Have Done It Anyway” (#32), “I Wanna Go Home” (#35), “Back to Me” (#26), and “Safe In His Loving Arms (#29) have earned Eighth Day an impressive following at Southern Gospel radio.

Scott Robinson of Eighth Day said, “We continue to be absolutely amazed at how well radio has latched on to this project and these songs. They are really having an impact in our services and at concerts. We know that radio has played a large part in that. Thank you DJs for getting behind our music!”

In addition, Eighth Day’s newest single, “Rolled Away Stone” (also from Headin’ Home) has ranked at #7 on the Singing News Top 10 New Releases for the upcoming April 2008 edition of the chart – continuing their winning streak at radio.

“Rolled Away Stone” was also the #2 Pick Hit for the April issue of the chart.

The group is beginning work on a new project. More details on that recording will be available in the future.

Eighth Day is currently accepting demos and auditioning individuals for an open vocal position in the group. The group is looking for a talented individual and has no preference to whether the individual is male or female. In addition, the group is currently looking for a musician to travel with the group as well.
