What new dance style first started distracting pedestrians in 1984?

I don't know if it's a dance, but I'm gonna guess the Moonwalk. I was in awe of Michael Jackson when he did that. Yes..... I loved Michael Jackson.

I'm guessing break dancing because it was done on the streets and sidewalks or wherever in the cities...

I almost missed the word "pedestrians"...I was thinking vehicles...lol...when I realized it was pedestrians, I got a visual of all those crowds of people stopping to watch the guys dance....
