Two members of the Rangers Quartet were involved in a horrible traffic accident. Erman Slater lost his life and Arnold Hyles was incapacitated for many months following the crash.

Who replaced Hyles as bass singer with the Rangers during his recouperation?

I wonder if the Rangers made any recordings during the period when Jimmy Jones was their bass singer.

Is that Hovie at the piano?

I wonder if the Rangers made any recordings during the period when Jimmy Jones was their bass singer.

Jimmy recorded around sixteen songs with the Rangers Quartet.

. . . and yes, that's Hovie at the piano. It was made several years after the Rangers disbanded. You may notice that Arnold is leaning on a cane. That was the result of his automobile accident.
