Title: Pure!

I normally answer questions. But I wanted to ask one if I may, since I haven't seen any good Goodman trivia lately. LOL!
Does anybody know where the Goodmans got the name for their album 99 44/100% ?

Not sure, but that's the same line that they used to use for Ivory soap commercials.

Did the Goodmans consider themselves 99 44/100 % pure? If so I guess they subtracted 66/100 of one percent for the time Rusty spent with the Plainsmen.
Stevenson: By the way what's the stuff pictured on the back of the album, soap lather? (Unlike John, I admit to owning a Goodman album.)

I know that Ronny Milsap used that term (99 44/100 % pure love) in his song "Pure Love."

Where were you on wacky Wednesday, stevenson?
. . . and I do own some Goodman records, Norm. If you don't believe me, then listen to the Southern Styles Show.

Yes, from my understanding Ivory soap was the influence for the title!
And every true SG fan has to have at least one Goodman record! LOL!

Can't help but pick up a few Goodman albums along the way when you buy big lots of old records, along with Burl Ives, and the Morman Tabernacle stuff.

I always chalked the title up to the marketing department at Canaan, which was a clever concept, as was the Grammy winner "Refreshing", depicting the group in summer wear having a picknick with about a foot of snow on the ground.
