Wow! Another week of close voting! In an extremely close vote, the Dove Brothers are now standing by the river Jordan waving goodbye to the Plainsmen who have been atop the classic mountian for several weeks.

The challenger this week is a lovely song by the Oak Ridge Boys: "When I Lay My Burdens Down Someday." The Florida Boys recently revived this classic song, and it's become one of their most requested numbers. This is one of the last songs Smitty Gatlin sang with the Oaks and it's on their Skylite album, "The Solid Gospel Sound of the Oak Ridge Boys." Smitty Gatlin had one of the finest lead voices in gospel music. He was such a talented man!

"When I Lay My Burdens Down" by the Oak Ridge Boys (or as the MC on the live version of "King Jesus" puts it - "THE MIGHTY OAKS!"

Here's another vote for "When I Lay My Burdens Down". I just can't get tired of that song and the Florida Boys still do a great job singing it.
