Title: Wacky Wednesday
Description: labels and such
JohnCBoy - September 27, 2006 12:23 PM (GMT)
The Chuck Wagon Gang had a very long recording career with a major recording label. They have often been referred to as the best selling gospel group of all time. The Gang was heard on record and on radio many years before they ever made any personal appearances, which was quite unusual for a gospel group.
The Gang continues today singing songs in the same style as they did 70 years ago.
What was the major record label for which this legendary group recorded?

Today I could have gotten this one right without the hint. The record label was Columbia Records.

The same as the sign they`re holding----COLUMBIA RECORDS.

Mr. CBoy, I think you need to start including a disclaimer about "Wacky Wednesday" every week. :kekeke:

I thought the CWG only used one instrument, but I see in this pic the other gentleman is playing the apparently seldom used placard. :harp:

I think I shall go ponder how one tunes a placard :whistling:
