In your opinion, who is the best male quartet out there right now?

Probably the Dove Brothers.

The Dove Brothers would be my choice, too. I believe, of the quartets on the road, that this group has arguably the top tenor, top baritone, top bass and top keyboard player.

Sure, that is debatable, but if they aren't the best at their individual positions, they are in the top echelon.

With the addition of Wes Hampton, the Gaither Vocal Band is hard to beat. But, alas......... so many don't consider them traditional SG.

I think that Brian Free and Assurance is one of the best out there.

and Yea I do think my group is the best after all these boys are family to me and I love and adore them. so I do think they are the best Providentials Quartet Photos

Gaither Vocal Band

IMO....a lot of the male groups who appear regularly at the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion could be #1...they have better harmony, etc. than 99.9% of the other groups on the road at this time..they may not have the "show" or the "dance steps" that some of the other groups have, but these groups can sing...

The Vocal Band is pretty much always class and sing tougher harmonies than many. Wes is a great guy and has a good sound, but I still preferred Phelps. However, Wes is already better than some of the tenors they have had and is just starting.

Gold City is good and is still a force to be reckoned with. They might be tops to me of the ones out there.

Brian Free and Assurance has done some really good things in the past few years. They have come a long way.

The Doves do do a good job too.

Signature Sound has some good members, but they are far away from the Cathedrals. But then again, so are many others. :)

Gold City....Brian Free & Assurance.....Down East Boys are pretty good, too...
