Title: Favourite Christmas CDs
CanChik - November 28, 2006 11:30 AM (GMT)
I have had a few Christmas recordings that I have listened to over and over...
One of my favs growing up was an LP my mom had, "Christmas with Patti Page".
We also had an old crackly LP with Scrooge on it that was pretty scary...
In the 80's, I had Carman's Christmas one, and I almost wore it out.
Later, it was The Martins, A Very Ally Christmas (songs from Ally McBeal, I love Vonda Shepard's voice), Amy Grant (the one with Tennesse Christmas on it).
Recently...Mariah Carey (love that CD!), Michael English Christmas, Songs from Love Actually, and a homemade compilation from a friend that includes "Baby It's Cold Outside".
This year I got myself "Third Day, Christmas Offerings" and I love it!
I have to confess I find most SGM Christmas CDs a little...well...boring. I usually listen to Gold City once. We have an old Kingsmen video (Randy Miller, Parker Jonathan, Bryan Hudson) that's cute and rather nostalgic as it has Foxy on it.
What are some of your favourites?

I love the Booth Brothers - "Treasure These Moments" (Vol. 1 & 2) - they are just soooooo smooth.
Gaither Homecoming Friends - "Joy To The World" (It's a Gaither CD...... of course it's great!)
But, my all time favorite is............. Vince Gill - "Let There Be Peace On Earth". I can listen to this CD over and over again all day long while I'm at work. I bring a bunch of Christmas CDs to work, and I always go back to this one.

Hey Shari, have you ever heard Trisha Yearwood's Christmas CD, she was the first one I ever heard do "Take a Walk through Bethlehem". It's lovely.
Garth Brooks put out a nice one too, but as I can't think of one special one on it, I guess it wasn't that memorable. He did a story song which I always skip over, lol.

all of the Amy Grant Christmas recordings :christmas boot:
"A Very Harry Christmas" by Harry Connick, Jr. :dressed:
and how could we leave out "A Chipmunk Christmas"?
