Probably a trick question.

Either Jerry Redd or Vestal Goodman, stepped in and sang two dates with them between Shawn (a.k.a.) Sherril (a.k.a) Sean (a.k.a) Shaun (a.k.a) Schon Neilson, Nielson, Nealson and Steve Warren.

I think I heard that somewhere. :P

BTW, its COLD out here in the midwest. :dressed:

WOW! I always liked Steve Warren, but I never thought he could replace FIVE people...........although he did do that at the GOGR one year......LOL.

Every group that came out, if their tenor was missing, Steve would help them out.

JohnCBoy - December 4, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
Sean, Shaun, Shawn, Sherrill . . . yep. That's it.

Always thought that the Masters V were at their best with Warren. Thought their Thru the Years album and their Statesmen and Blackwood hits albums were their best efforts.

Thanks guys, y'all gave me a smile this morning!

So how did that guy spell his name anyhow?

JohnCBoy - December 5, 2006 01:32 PM (GMT)
I've seen it spelled almost every way, but I think he usually spelled it Shaun (or Sherrill) Nielsen.

I can see how they get the spelling mixed up. "Shaun" and "Sherrill" do look similar.

I saw a poster in a local gospel radio station. Don't know how old the poster was but the name on the poster was Sherrill. It looked fairly recent. It was a mixed group. I think his wife was in the group.

I think he's gone back to "Sherrill". He told me that he tried to change his name to "Shaun" during the Elvis days, but his mother always called him "Sherrill" so he has reverted back to that.

Thank goodness for Mothers. I never did like Shaun. He was always Sherrill to me.

Someone told me the other day that his real name is Sean Neal.

Does anyone know for sure?
