I haven't posted a blog since before Thanksgiving. I have been so busy. I have great news to bring today, A little girl in my church Abby, gave her heart to the Lord a couple of weeks ago and she will be baptized during our Christmas Eve evening service. That is wonderful news. Not only has she become a Christian, the next day at school she was already witnessing to her school mates. She has a burden in her heart for them. I want to encourage Each of you to go out and witness to others, like this small child had done. We need to let her be an example for us to follow.
Yesterday at church we took up money for the Lottie Moon Christmas offering (Foreign Missions) our goal was near $16,000, yesterday alone we raised over $21,000. That is just wonderful
Last night the Choir (i am a member) presented our Christmas Musical "We Bow Down" It was beautiful. I think we did a good job!
There is only 2 more weeks until Christmas Day and I am no where near ready. I don't like giving money, but I think that is the best way to go. I don't know what to get the nephews they are at that age where they are too old for toys but dont like getting things they need. Like clothes etc.
I will start my holiday baking tonight. Making peanut butter balls, peanut butter crackers dipped in white chocolate, sausage balls, cakes, cheese cakes, chocolate dipped pretzels, and much much more. I like to use decorative tins and give people some of my goodies.
I am at a new church this year, my old church we use to go christmas caroling to the shuttins of our church. Not sure if we do this at my new church. Always loved doing this. Bringing a little joy to people. I love to make people smile and laugh. That is my goal in life to bring just a little happiness into peoples lives.
I know this time of year alot of people are depressed and i understand why. I have lost many loved ones during this time of year, I know it has been quite sometime since I lost my dad and my brother, but I still miss them and long to see them. My dad passed 8 years ago and my brother passed 29 years ago. Also other family member and friends who have gone on that we use to spend a lot of time with. Old friends that we use to gather with we have grown apart. I do miss their friendships. But where God closes one chapter of our lives, He helps us to start a new chapter by giving us New friends and more family members
To the ones who are depressed this season, I send you my Love . And I will keep you in my prayers this Christmas Season. Merry Christmas to you all and remember the reason for the season is God sent his only son, JESUS into this world so that you and i can have eternal life with him in Heaven.

I think that is a wonderful goal to have, and my prayer is that you will be successful beyond your fondest hopes.
