Two members of the group pictured below sang with some major gospel artists.
Who were they and with whom did they sing?

I know the guy in the middle was singing with the Statesmen Quartet when the Big Chief died. I'm kind of having a "brain fart" on his name. The gentleman on the left looks very familiar; however, right now I can not call forth a name or a group!
PS I changed my post after I saw Mike's post! Wasn't there someone named Tim Baty in some group!?

Gayla gave me some information that made things a little clearer for me. I think the man in the middle is Gary Timbs. He was a dynamic lead singer who had a very soulful delivery. I also think he sang with the Senators, but I am not sure.

Duh! Thank you Mike! I could not come up with Timbs name to save my life! I really enjoyed his singing. I beleive he came to GOGR once, but I can't remember who he sang with. He could evermore play the Hammond B3 organ though!

That group is the Concords -- Jim Black, Gary Timbs & Wiley Shepherd.
I think Jim Black was with the Chuck Wagon Gang...Gary Timbs --- Statesmen, Prophets, Senators, Frost Brothers and I'm sure there are more.

Jim Black did sing bass for The Chuck Wagon Gang,Dean. He had -I guess you might say a lead/baritone voice, but my brother Larry knew him and he told Larry-"anybody can sing bass with The Chuck Wagon Gang."

Dean, you're right on the money again.
