These are the BEST meatballs I've ever had. We make them every year at Christmas. We have two or three get-togethers since the family is all spread out, and the finger foods get-together is my favorite because of these meatballs!

Anyway.. I make them for a large get together, so if you are making for a smaller bunch, you will have to adjust accordingly.

Meatballs

3 lbs hamburger
1 large can Milnot
2 C oatmeal
2 eggs
1/2 C minced onions
1/2 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp salt
2 tsp chili powder
Mix together and form into balls.

Sauce:
2 C catsup
1/2 C minced onion
2 C brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic salt
Heat and stir until boils.
Pour over meatballs.

Bake 1 hr at 350 uncovered. (I usually have almost 2 9x13 pans)

Shari......is the brown sugar what makes them so good?

Take it from an ole food salesman and cook. . . It's a brand name for evaporated milk.

Joe, I have no idea what makes them so good.... I just know that they are SO good.

Thanks John, for clarifying what Milnot is. I assumed that since it's a brand name, that it was everywhere. I guess I don't get out much. LOL Sorry, Donna!

When you finish making them meatballs again, e-mail a couple of those for me, will you? ;)
