Title: New Mission...

Lask~

The tall former master leaned his back against a wall boredly. These days, it was as thought they forgot he was even alive, like he died in some minor, nameless skirmish. But Lask Zaigon doesn't die in minor skirmishes. He dies with honor, fighting in some grander struggle. Then at least, haveing died a warrior's death, he can go in peace to whatever may or may not lay in wait for him, should there be an afterlife.

He had been keeping his skills laser sharp through brutal training, and that was the only thing that was keeping him from wasteing away into obscurity amongst the more...'common' ranks. He heaved a deep sigh and stared at the opposite wall blankly. He was a killing machine that hadn't been put to the task it excelled at in so long. Right now...? He had nothing to do...no fights were on-yet, he reminded himself. Today was when it was all bound to start. With any luck he'd get something a bit more fun to do with his empty time.

He stood up from the wall and turned to head down the hall. He was nearly level with the room he knew that he had seen the Empress enter time and time again, usually once or twice a day. He was amazed they even kept him around this place, since the officials used to be so enamoured of his abilites and then seemed to..'forget'. Whoop-did-dee-doo...

The Empress stood before a large tv screen, flipping through a few different screens, each showing a different view of New Alderaan. She furrowed her eyebrows, examining the land curiously.

She could tell her plans were going perfectly. Her troops had control of the planet, and everything seemed to be alright. However...she needed a good general to take care of everything going on there. But who, would be able to do the job well?

Lask~

He growled lowly at a pair of apprentices that were unwatched by thier masters, if they actually had masters, that is. The pair of them were goggling through the door--it was open a tad--and staring at something. The Empress must be in there.

"Off with you two! Now!" They looked up in wide-eyed alarm and lit on outta there without any question but much fright. When you are about 11 years of age with your muscles barely developed enough to swing a lightsaber and cause damage, you move when a much older looking jedi twice your size tells you to do something. And you move as fast as you can! O_o;

He folded his arms and shook his head slowly, pityingly. Kids these days...

Phale glanced up, hearing his voice outside the door. She raised an eyebrow, then folded her arms. "Lask? Come in here for a moment...." She had an idea....

She glanced back at the screens thoughtfully, waiting for him to come in.

Lask~

His head snapped up to look at the door, and then he walked in quietly, back stiff as ever...like a steel rod had replaced his spine.
He stood basically at attention, respectfully.
"Yes?"

She continued to look at the screens, smirking. "Lask...how would you like to have a little mission? I need a general to control the mission going on at New Alderaan. Do you think you can handle it?"

Lask~

His dark eyes widened a fraction. Aassignment! After this long....? He was so happy! Fiiiinally something to do.
"I would love to, Empress." He told her, a happy, thus rare, smile curving his lips. If this guy smiled...you usually wanted to run. But this was a good smile. For once.

She smirked. "Excellent. I shall have a ship readied for you. You shall leave immediatly. There are already droids there, and the Queen should be held captive there waiting for you." She nodded to the screens. "New Alderaan is perfect for rebuilding the Death Star. Any questions?"

Rhigama - October 11, 2004 12:10 AM (GMT)
"No questions, Empress. I shall do my best." He smiled and bowed. "I will leave now, then." He turned and left, albeit a bit stiffly. But it was time to get out of here...and see to it that the Death Star is built without interuptions, if it can at all be helped. He headed for the ship bay, which was all the way across the building. His ship would be ready by the time he got there.

Kat - October 11, 2004 12:38 AM (GMT)
She watched him go, yellow eyes flickering cooly. Perfect....her plans would go well with such a person as general. The Death Star would be finished quickly now....
