According to a "Movie Magic" magazine I got the other day, the light sabre duel between Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker will be 17 minutes long! If this is true, then I'm beyond excited! The light sabre duels are always the coolest parts of SW films.

17 minutes long? :blink: That's a bit long, even though this is a HUGE moment in Star Wars history. I think 17 minutes for a lightsaber duel is a bit long, but hey, lets see how they set it up.

I going to have to send George Lucus a letter, telling him "DON'T CUT IT UP TOO MUCH!!!". Ah, well, that's just me. He'd probably ignore it anyway.

Alot of people love receiving mail from fans. It's just, they dont always have time to read it, unforunatly. ^^;

And Mr. Lucus is probably a very busy man right now.

Well, this movie is going to be the darkest one I guess so im pretty sure that dual will take alot of time

Well, if you think about it, the duel between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in ESB was a pretty good length. It featured alot of stalking each other and tense parts. That will probably be what draws out this battle. Besides, 17 minutes for one action sequence is nothing compared to the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" which has a 45 minute car chase. ;)

I've heard from my brother that it's said to be the greatest battle ever seen on the silver screen.

It looks like a long battle.

If you have the special edition set of Star Wars, they show alot of the making of that battle on there. It looks long, but it looks great.

I didn't see alot of stuff I saw on the makings, but otherwise, it was a decent duel. I don't think it was 17 minutes long, maybe 10ish or shorter....
