As we all know, in Episode III, Senator Palpitine will become the the evil emperor of the Dark Side. I'm just wondering: Is he already evil? Is he Darth Sidious? I guess we'll learn on May 19, 2005...

He is already evil. And I believe he is Sidious. Dooku works for him.

Don't worry; I figured that out a long time ago when I watched "Attack of the Clones" (or was it "The Phantom Menace"?) shortly after posting this a few months back. ;)
The funny thing is that many critics seem to consider that a spoiler. One review said "If you do not wish to know who Darth Sidious really is, then don't read any further". Interesting...

Im reading the novel version of Revenge of the Sith, and yes Palpatine is a very VERY VERY powerful Sith already. He has been Darth Sidius for a long while.

BTW, Palpatine's battle with Yoda in "Episode III" was one of my ALL-TIME favorite moments in "Star Wars" history.
